English: A U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System from the 961st Airborne Air Control Squadron taxis on the runway before takeoff from Kadena Air Base, Japan, to avoid damaging winds and debris from an approaching typhoon Aug. 21, 2015. Each time a typhoon moves too close to Okinawa, units across Kadena follow a standardized procedure to ensure maximum safety and security for all equipment and assigned personnel during the strong winds and debris associated with the storms.
