English: This lamassu's head came from Khorsabad. It was illegally unearthed and cut into several pieces for easier transportation and smuggling to a neighboring country in the 1990s. The intelligence intercepted the operation and many plunderers got executed in public. The mastermind of the looting was a police colonel.
