本信息框的主要重点是指定，在遗产的基本信息之后显示；最多允许5个。通常情况下，指定的范围是递减的（即首先是国际指定，其次是国家指定，等等）。每个指定由一个彩色条表示，由{{Designation}}模板控制。尽管这里的Designation模板是在后台使用的，但它也可以作为一个独立的模板来创建表格、列表，甚至其他信息框。更多信息见Template:Designation/doc。
