Clay Township is one of the nine townships of Montgomery County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. As of the 2010 census the population was 8,847.[3]
地理[编辑]
Located in the northwestern corner of the county, it borders the following townships and cities:
- Union Township, Miami County - 北east
- Clayton - 东
- Trotwood - 东南 corner
- Perry Township - 南
- Twin Township, Preble County - 南west corner
- Harrison Township, Preble County - 西
- Monroe Township, Darke County - 北west
It is the only township in the county with a border on Darke County.
Three municipalities are located in Clay Township:
- Part of the city of Brookville, in the south
- The village of Phillipsburg, in the northeast
- Part of the village of Verona, in the northwest
Economy[编辑]
Interstate 70 crosses Clay Township east-west in the south and the National Road (US-40) crosses east-west just north of I-70. OH-49, also known as Dayton-Greenville Pike is a main north-south connector from Greenville to the north in Darke County to I-70.
Name and history[编辑]
It is one of nine Clay Townships statewide.[4] It is named after the statesman Henry Clay.
政府[编辑]
镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[5],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。
