Program Officer - Research-to-Practice Translation
The Program Officer manages a set of complex activities focused on learning, translation, and sharing of research activities for practitioners, including multiple users and beneficiaries (entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship support organizations, policymakers, program staff, internal and external partners).
This position will include grantmaking, research program design, and leadership related to entrepreneurship program design and policy implementation that illuminates successful outcomes to support entrepreneurs (e.g., incubators, accelerators, regulatory arrangements, educational investments, ecosystem calibration, direct and indirect entrepreneurship support activities) and the entrepreneurship strategic pillars: ecosystems; new entrepreneurial learning; market gaps.
Some specific responsibilities include: - Develop and manage translation activities, including translating technical reports and analyses into digestible, useable, shareable information. - Provide translation activities to the department, including digesting, interpreting, and applying findings; develop translation materials for target audiences. - Continually acquire new knowledge on a wide range of content on applicable entrepreneurship issues. - Bring researchers and users of research together to facilitate communication of relevant findings to a broader audience - externally and internally.
