甘达亚特
甘达亚特是印度奥里萨邦一个种姓[1]，意为“剑之师”，“खंडा”（Khanda）是一种剑，“आयत”（ayata）意为“控制”[2][3]。
他们宣称是刹帝利但一般是相对富裕的农民，而一些人则是收租者，村长和地主。学者们认为，与刹帝利的联系可能是他们社区的一种主张，其中一些人利用他们的军事历史来提高自己的社会地位并使他们对其他人的控制合法化[4][5][6]。
他们原先是信仰传统宗教但在信仰印度教后被授予此种姓，地位也上升了。
