厄斯金·考德威尔（英语：Erskine Caldwell，1903年12月17日—1987年4月11日），美国小说家和短篇小说作家[1][2]，他在他的作品里描写了他家乡美国南部的贫穷、种族歧视及社会问题，他的著作包括《烟草之路》（1932年）和《上帝的小英亩》（1933年）都为他赢得了一致好评，但是他对优生学的拥护和倡导强迫乔治亚州贫困白人进行绝育的主张使他在第二次世界大战后变得不受欢迎[3]。
考德威尔烟瘾很重，他最终因肺气肿和肺癌并发症而去世。[4][5]
