硬尾雨燕属（学名：Chaetura），或作刺尾雨燕属，是雨燕目雨燕科下的一个属。[2]本属物种均分布南北美洲，目前下属11个物种。[2]
命名历史[编辑]
本属由英国博物学家詹姆斯·法兰西斯·斯提芬斯于1826年描述。[3]其模式种被英国鸟类学家威廉·约翰·斯温森指定为Hirundo pelasgia，即现今的烟囟刺尾雨燕。[1][4]其属名Chaetura由古希腊语的χαίτη（罗马化：khaitē，“毛发”之意）及οὐρά（罗马化：oura，“尾巴”之意）组成。[5]
