亞歷山大·馬歇爾
亞歷山大·馬歇爾（Alexander Marshall，1846年12月13日—1928年8月9日）是一位普利茅斯弟兄會的著名傳道人[1]。
早年[編輯]
1846年12月13日，馬歇爾出生於蘇格蘭威格敦郡的斯特蘭拉爾，在敬虔的基督徒家庭中成長。[1]父親約翰·馬歇爾是位虔誠的布商，也是教會長老，被稱為「聖潔的馬歇爾」（Holy Marshall）。
馬歇爾在18歲時離開家鄉, 到格拉斯哥的布店工作，由於弟兄會傳道人戈登·福隆（Gordon Forlong, 1819-1908）的街頭熱切傳講，加入奉主名聚會的基督徒召會[2]。1876年, 格拉斯哥希望堂（Hope Hall）聚會推薦馬歇爾為全時間事奉主的傳福音者，此後他走遍蘇格蘭和英格蘭各地，傳揚福音。[3]
福音拓荒者[編輯]
1879年，馬歇爾前往加拿大拓荒，在加拿大帶領多人悔改歸主。1882年與泰特小姐結婚。馬歇爾在婚後全力投入福音工作，是著名的福音大使，他一生中曾36次橫渡大西洋到加拿大和美國宣道。1897年，他前往冰島，他還前往埃及、中美洲、墨西哥和新西蘭傳道。[1]第一次世界大戰期間，71歲高齡的馬歇爾冒險前往法國，向軍人傳講福音。俄國革命期間，他又冒險前往俄羅斯和愛沙尼亞，幫助那裡的受難者。
馬歇爾最初參加「所需的真理之召會」（Needed Truth Brethren）的聚會，但因關於擘餅聚會（breaking of bread meeting）的分歧而離開。麥歇等人認為，只要兩三個信徒就可以擘餅紀念主。他們有時被認為是福音堂基督徒聚會處（Gospel Hall Brethren）的開始。
馬歇爾曾敦促基督徒公開抗議，反對自由主義神學。[4]然而，馬歇爾自己也被指控為異端[5]。
1903年，馬歇爾從海外回到蘇格蘭的普雷斯特威克居住。1928年8月9日，馬歇爾去世，享年81歲[1]。他在普雷斯特威克墳場的墓碑上仍然刻着福音信息。他的住所也改為宣道士之家（missionary home）。

馬歇爾是著名的福音單張作者，號稱「福音單張大王」（the prince of tract writers）。
- 《神拯救之道》（God's Way of Salvation），是一本32頁的小冊子，於1920年代出版[6][7]。這本小冊子以18種語言出版，印刷了400多萬冊。[8]
- 《選擇基督或是批評者?》（Christ or the "critics": Whom shall we believe?）於1920年出版[9]，批評「現代主義」和「理性主義」的謬誤。
