卡爾·盧茨[1]（德語：Carl Lutz，1895年3月30日—1975年2月12日）是一名瑞士外交官，1942年起擔任瑞士駐匈牙利布達佩斯副領事。他在第二次世界大戰中拯救了超過62,000名猶太人，這是二戰期間最大的猶太人救援行動[2][3]。
其救援行動使得布達佩斯的猶太人中有一半倖免於難，未被驅逐到納粹滅絕營。他也因此被以色列猶太大屠殺紀念館授予「國際義人」稱號[4]。
生平[編輯]
1895年3月30日出生在瑞士的東北部的瓦爾岑豪森，在當地讀小學[5][6]。他的父親擁有一個砂岩採石場[5]。1909年，當他14歲的時候，母親不幸死於結核病[5]。15歲時，他開始在聖馬格雷滕的一家紡織廠做學徒[5][6]。
1913年18歲的時候，他來到了美國，並在那裡工作和生活了20多年。1913年至1918年，他在伊利諾伊州的花崗岩市打工。1918年至1920年在密蘇里州的中衛斯理安學院（德國教會學校）學習[7][5]。
1920年他在華盛頓哥倫比亞的瑞士領事館找到了一份工作[6]，並繼續在喬治·華盛頓大學學習，1924年獲得學士學位[8]。
榮譽與紀念[編輯]
- 1963年：德意志聯邦共和國「聯邦十字勳章」大十字勛位[10]。
- 1963年：瓦爾岑豪森榮譽市民。
- 1963年：以色列海法的一條街以他的名字命名[6]。
- 1965年：被以色列猶太大屠殺紀念館授予「國際義人」稱號，是首位獲得該稱號的瑞士人。
- 2004年：布達佩斯成立「卡爾·盧茨基金會」，在各地舉行巡迴展覽[11]。
- 2018年：瑞士伯爾尼聯邦宮的一間會議室以卡爾·盧茨命名[12]。
