早年[編輯]

優素福生於紐約皇后區，父母是埃及人^[5]。他在穆斯林家庭長大，遵守伊斯蘭節日習俗，一直學習伊斯蘭教^[6]。高中就讀於新澤西州拉瑟福德（英語：Rutherford, New Jersey）拉瑟福德高中（英語：Rutherford High School (New Jersey)）^[7]。之後赴羅格斯大學紐瓦克分校（英語：Rutgers University-Newark）學習政治學和經濟學，臨近畢業加入威廉·埃斯珀工作室（英語：William Esper Studio）後輟學^[2]^[8]

生涯[編輯]

優素福的演藝生涯首秀是在尼克尼特頻道（英語：Nick at Nite）情景喜劇《菜鳥老爹（英語：See Dad Run）》中擔任主角。節目播出期間，優素福曾親臨編劇室，這段經歷最終使得他於2019年推出了自己的節目^[9]。

2017年，優素福亮相《斯蒂芬·科爾伯特晚間秀》，擔任常規單口喜劇表演嘉賓^[5]^[10]

優素福自導自演的電視劇《拉米的瘋狂美國夢（英語：Ramy (TV series)）》於2019年4月19日上線Hulu，共10集^[11]。在劇中，優素福所扮演的主角講述了一位出生在移民家庭的第一代美國千禧世代穆斯林在美國的經歷^[12]^[13]。第一季首播後不久，Hulu便續訂第二季，計劃在2020年首播^[14]。2020年1月，優素福憑藉該劇贏得金球獎。

2019年6月，優素福出演HBO單口喜劇特輯《拉米·優素福：這個感覺》（Ramy Youssef: Feelings）^[15]。

《拉米》首播後，優素福與A24簽署了電視節目合約。截至2019年12月，優素福有兩檔正在開發的節目，一部在Apple TV+，一部在Netflix^[16]。
