1903年4月8日，在新南威爾士州坦特菲爾德（英語：Tenterfield, New South Wales）的聖斯蒂芬長老會教堂，帕特森與來自坦特菲爾德的愛麗絲·艾米莉·沃克（Alice Emily Walker）結婚。 [14][15] 夫妻定居伍拉勒，育有兩孩子。
