《第一次看到你的臉》（The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face）是一首1957年的民謠，由伊萬·麥科爾為後來的妻子佩吉·西格創作，當時兩人還處在婚外情中。西格是第一位演唱這首歌的人，隨後它在1960年代又被多位民謠歌手演繹，1972年羅伯塔·弗拉克版最為成功，贏得格萊美年度製作[1]和年度歌曲獎，1972年公告牌百強單曲榜上連續六周排名第一。

關於這首歌的起源有兩種不同的說法。麥科爾說它是應西格要求，為西格參演的一部戲劇所寫，並通過電話教給西格[2]。西格則說它記錄在麥科爾寄給她的磁帶里[3]。
1960年代，邦妮·多布森、金斯敦三重唱、彼得、保羅和瑪麗、四兄弟合唱團、喬和艾迪、貓王、查德·米切爾三重唱和戈登·萊特福特都曾演唱過這首歌。但這些版本麥科爾都不喜歡。他的兒媳婦寫道：「他討厭所有這些人。他在自己的唱片收藏中專門把他們分在一起，命名為『恐怖之屋』。他說貓王的版本就像羅密歐站在電信塔下面唱給朱麗葉。其他版本也都很滑稽。」[4]
羅伯塔·弗拉克版[編輯]
1969年，羅伯塔·弗拉克錄製了這首歌。據弗拉克回憶，當她在錄音室錄製時想起了自己被碾死的寵物貓[5][6]。克林特·伊斯特伍德在1971年的《迷霧追魂》中使用了這個版本[7]。
她的版本比較舒緩，製作人喬爾·多恩（Joel Dorn）曾建議重新錄製一遍，把節奏加快點，但遭到弗拉克拒絕。弗拉克版在《迷霧追魂》上映後爆火。因此，大西洋唱片於1972年2月將這首歌剪輯後作為單曲發行，並在公告牌百強單曲榜上連續六周排名第一[8][9]，在加拿大《RPM》單曲榜上連續三周排名第一[10]。
1972年12月15日星期五，它用作阿波羅17號宇航員在月球軌道上最後一天的起床音樂。[11]
