世界科學、工程與技術學會
世界科學、工程與技術學會（英語：World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology；簡稱WASET）是一家開放獲取的學術期刊出版商，總部位於土耳其，在阿塞拜疆註冊，它已被指控為掠奪性出版商[1][2]。其域名「waset.org」註冊於2007年，聯繫地址在杜拜[3]。2013年，WASET的一份期刊《國際醫學、製藥、生物和生命科學雜誌》(International Journal of Medical, Pharmaceutical, Biological, and Life Sciences) 在一次惡搞行動中接受了一篇明顯是假的文章，作者是約翰·博漢農（John Bohannon），隨後作者將此事發表在《科學》雜誌上[4]。
除了低質量發表之外，WASET還被指控安排「掠奪性學術會議」(predatory conferences)，以拔高演講者和論文提交者的學術資歷，它聲稱每年組織數千次學術會議，使用與已有科學團體組織的真實會議相同或相似的名稱。這些學術會議質量很低，被描述為「波將金村」，任何人只需支付註冊費就可以提交論文[5]。
