好望角國家天文台（英語：Royal Observatory, Cape of Good Hope）是南非現存最古老的科研機構。^[1]它由英國的開普殖民地於1820年建造，現在是南非天文台的總部大樓。該機構位於開普敦市中心東南方向5公里（3英里）的一座小山上。在該機構成立後的一個世紀內它所處的這片郊區發展起來，這片郊區就以已經存在的皇家天文台命名為天文台區。它也是國際古蹟遺址理事會關於世界遺產的一個研究案例。^[2]
