《造謠學校》（The School for Scandal）是理查德·布林斯利·謝立丹創作的一部風俗喜劇，1777年5月8日在倫敦的皇家劇院首次上演。據托馬斯·摩爾，謝立丹本人寫過兩個版本的《造謠學校》[1]。不同版本之間存在很大的差異[2]。它是謝立丹的名作，在當時備受好評[3]。
劇情[編輯]
故事發生於倫敦的英國上流社會中，年輕寡婦斯尼維爾夫人（Lady Sneerwell）熱衷於散佈各種謠言，並挑上了彼得·蒂澤爾爵士（Sir Peter Teazle）和他的監護人查爾斯、約瑟夫、瑪利亞。她試圖通過造謠彼得新娶的年輕妻子蒂澤爾夫人（Lady Teazle）和查爾斯有染，來離間瑪利亞和查爾斯，以幫助約瑟夫獲得接近瑪利亞的機會。
