2021年，美國、加拿大等地區舉行了一系列反亞裔暴力集會，其中許多是在2021年阿特蘭大按摩中心槍擊案發生後舉行。

非營利組織停止仇恨亞太裔報告中心從2020年3月19日到2021年2月28日收到3795宗發生在美國的亞裔仇恨事件。[1]皮尤研究中心的一項研究發現，在2019冠狀病毒病大流行期間，有58％的亞裔美國人認為針對他們的種族主義觀念有所增加。[2]有民權人士和美國政府官員表示，前美國總統當勞·特朗普在2019冠狀病毒病大流行初期經常使用種族主義語言來指稱冠狀病毒，加劇了美國亞裔仇恨暴力事件。[3]而美國各地仇恨亞裔犯罪案2021年比2020年增339%。[4]
