穿山甲木鼻白蚁（学名：Stylotermes halumicus）为蜚蠊目木鼻白蚁科木鼻白蚁属的一种，台湾特有种[1][2]。
发现与命名[编辑]
2014年，台湾中兴大学博士生的梁维仁及李后锋副教授，于台东县延平乡鸾山采集到一种过去未曾描述过的白蚁物种。经比对后确认为木鼻白蚁科的物种，为台湾对该科的首度纪录。研究成果后来发表于《美国昆虫学会会刊》（Annals of the Entomological Society of America）中[2]。中兴大学团队亦依据此种，首度报导了该科的基因序列[2]。
本种为第一种由台湾生物学家发现与命名之白蚁，其学名之种小名“halumicus”来自于布农语“halum”，意思为穿山甲，以纪念布农族人协助国立屏东科技大学执行穿山甲保育计划[1][2]。
栖息环境[编辑]
该物种目前仅发现于榉树、异色山黄麻等部分已枯死的树干内，其蚁坑在树干内呈纵向生长，并会侵入未枯死的茎干[1][3]。
分布[编辑]
目前仅知分布于台湾台东县，为台湾目前仅知的唯一一种木鼻白蚁。
