GNA全名Glycerol nucleic acid,中文直译甘油核酸。是一种与DNARNA相似的化学物质,但组成物有所不同。并不存在任何目前已知的自然界生物体内。

GNA的骨架是由许多重复的甘油(DNA与RNA为五碳糖)经由磷酸酯键的连结所组成。虽然甘油分子只有3个原子,但GNA仍然可比表现出沃森-克里克碱基配对(A对T;G对C),而且比起DNA与RNA,GNA的碱基配对更为稳定,需要较高的融解温度(Tm)才能解开。
