MT-TC是位於粒線體DNA上的一個長82鹼基對（bp）的非編碼基因，編碼粒線體半胱胺酸轉運RNA（tRNA）MT-tRNA^Cys^[3]。MT-tRNA^Cys能在粒線體轉譯過程中將游離的半胱胺酸運輸至轉錄中的粒線體核糖體上。粒線體半胱胺酸轉運RNA與一般的轉運RNA相同，呈現有三個臂的三葉草結構^[4]。

MT-TC基因位於人粒線體DNA上5761-5826bp位置^[5]。
