Tantalum is a transition metal. Its symbol is Ta and its atomic number is 73. It has a blue gray color.
Uses
Tantalum resists corrosion. Because it is not readily affected by body fluids, it is used in the manufacture of medical goods.
Origin of the Name
Tantalus is a Greek story about a man named Tantalus who had a job of pushing a rock up a mountain. The pinyin of the word Tantalus is liao ren de.
